The Platinum Merit Award aims to honor the most outstanding business organization within the CBA, symbolizing their exceptional dedication and commitment to the College of Business and the broader University community.

Notably, this award is granted to the top business organization out of those that applied for the Superior Merit Award; therefore a separate application write-up is not required.

The Superior Merit Award is a prestigious honor, second to the Platinum Merit Award. It is given to a business organization that has shown exceptional dedication and success within the CBA. This award recognizes their outstanding efforts, innovative ideas, and positive influence on the university community. It's a way to celebrate their hard work and recognize them as one of the best among their peers.

Qualifications

• To qualify for the Superior Merit Award, your organization must:

  • Meet bi-weekly w/regular student body attendance.

  • Hold at least 4 professional events.

  • Have a recruitment program that results in growth and success.

  • Did not exceed two UBSS meeting absences per quarter.

  • Maintained their club’s website and social media platforms.

  • Collaborated with at least 4 organizations (besides UBSS) for an inter-club event.

• In addition to the qualifications, your organization must have done at least the following:

  • Held a corporate-sponsored event

  • Held a campus-wide event

  • Held two meaningful community service events

  • Competed on a national level with other chapters through conferences or meetings

To qualify for the Merit Award, your organization must:

• Meet bi-weekly w/regular student body attendance.

  • Hold at least 3 professional events.

  • Have a recruitment program that indicates growth and success

  • Did not exceed two UBSS meeting absences per quarter

  • Maintained their club’s website

  • Collaborated with at least 3 organizations (besides UBSS) for an interclub event.

• In addition to the qualifications, your organization must have done at least the following:

  • Held a corporate sponsored event

  • Held two meaningful community service events

  • Compete on a national level with other chapters through conferences or meetings
